Advanced methods are used to fabricate highly inter-connective,porous scaffolds for tissue engineering applications; one of which isknown as the additive manufacturing (AM) based method. This includesthe application of computer aided design (CAD) and rapid prototyping(RP) techniques to design and fabricate scaffolds. Fused depositionmodeling, 3D printing, 3D bioplotting, stereo-lithography and selectivelaser sintering are known examples of AM technology used in field ofthe computer-aided tissue engineering [14].
