In this model motivation is the operant condition that initiates the entrepreneurial process. It is the individual desire to build something, to gain recognition or to reach a particular end-state that Kick-starts the push to a self-determined future. The skills that one is endowed with or has acquired presumably give confidence to managing the process. However, in many instances the successful entrepreneur may not be as well equipped as would be expected. In this sense they are like the bumblebee, whish, according to aeronautical principles of wing area to weight ratios, should not be able to fly. But the bumblebee does not know this and flies anyway.
