Growth and cellulose producing characteristics of A.
xylinum BRCS in a fermentor Cellulose production
in agitated cultures was tested in a 5 I jar fermentor.
Impeller configuration of the fermentor was rearranged
from two 6-blade turbine to three 6-blade turbine
impellers. Agitation was maintained initially at 500rpm
during lag period (t =20 h), and increased to 1,000 rpm
during growth phase.
