The former Royal Palace is now a Museum housing an important collection of the royal family's personal belongings and gifts. Construction of the palace was completed in 1909 during the reign of King Sisavangvong. The Museum is loacated directly across the main raod from Phousi hill, and is open from 8 to 11 am and 1:30 to 3:30 pm every day except Tuesday, when it is closed in th afternoon
