What lessons has your career in the music industry taught you so far?
It’s a long road and if you’re not nice to people, they won’t be nice back. We treat everyone with respect. That’s what I told everyone on The Voice: it doesn’t matter if you can sing and look good, if you’re not nice, you won’t be around. There’s a backbone of people working in the industry who see acts come and go and you want a reputation that’s going to open doors, not get them slammed in your face. You don’t have to be an a***hole to be a star
