In agreement with our previous findings in potted vines
(Hochberg et al., 2013a), under field condition physiological data
derived from soil sensors, pre-dawn water potential (JPD) and
stomatal conductance (gs) measurements revealed that Shiraz
depleted the soil volumetric water content (q) faster (Fig. 1),
possibly through higher gs under control conditions (Fig. 2A),
resulting in lower JPD (Fig. 2B).
