Now that we have redelivered MSN 782 I think it is an opportune time to discuss progress with Kan Air process improvements and your plan for MSN 777. When you have returned from your vacation I would appreciate it if you could turn your attention to the following items:
· Progress on each of the agreed action points in the attached supplementary audit accomplished on August 24th. I will expect to have seen significant progress on those items agreed during the last audit.
· Kan Air plans for the MSN 777 Maintenance due in 2016. Assuming current average utilisation of 250FH / 235 FC per month I forecast the following events in 2016 for MSN 777:
o 1 July 2016: 2Y check is due
o August / September 2016: ESN EB0318 Overhaul due to life limited LLPs in hot and cold section and high time since HSI.
o August / September 2016: 1C Check due on Aircraft
o 8 Nov 2016: 1Y check is due
o December 2016: Possible Hot Section Repair on ESN EB0314 as TSHSI will have reached approximately 5,800 by year end.
o 15 January 2017: Main Landing Gear Set Overhaul
As you can see 2016 will be far more logistically challenging year for Kan Air now that you are out of the maintenance “honeymoon period”. There will be very significant cashflow impact to be incurred with some of the heavy maintenance events that are on the horizon. Kan are advised to review this situation in order to plan adequately for 2016.
