When you arrived at LexCorp, you didn’t even Park, you put the stand down on the bike and threw your helmet to the side. You sprinted past the sea of employees, down the hallways and around the bends to get to the meet room. But when you got there it was empty. Your face dropped and your lips turned into a straight frown, your hands falling at your sides and chest heaving as you tried to catch your breath. You had already lost your job, you knew this, he gave you one chance and you ruined it. You took a couple steps towards the glass surrounding the one entrance into the meet room and breathlessly placed your forehead against it.
“You’re fired.” You weren’t surprised, but that didn’t mean you weren’t heartbroken. This was basically your fault, but if Lex had never seen your work yesterday, you wouldn’t be here. Mckenzie needed to be punished, you slowly angled your head over to stare at Lex Luthor. He waved at you sarcastically and was about to turn away.
“Wait.” He stopped and glanced over his shoulder at you. “
For what exactly am I waiting for? I have been waiting.”
“I’m not going to beg you to give me my job back, but I do want to make a trade.”
“A trade?” He was businessman, of course he was going to go along with this ‘trade’. You pulled your backpack off and held it up to him.
“You can have all the notes for the project, but you have to give me something in return.”
“Your job?” His eyebrows furrowed and he shrugged.
“No, a kiss.” There was a long pause as he stared at you, skeptical to whether or not you were serious about this. He was a handsome man and Mckenzie was obsessed with him, to see the jealous look on her face would be priceless.
“A kiss? That’s all.” He was smiling, sauntering his way over to you.
“No, I want it to be in front of Mckenzie. I want you to pretend you are my boyfriend for only a moment.” He placed his hands on his hips, the smile not leaving his expression.
