I've been doing research into hertz and modern music. 14 is the key. it's always around 14, either one higher or up to 2 lower.

The Brain Garage
Absolutely, also, check out the Beta brain wave tracks we have with either music or beach and nature sounds, you may find them more entertaining!

Hey Mystic, also check out our website, thebraingaragedotcom, I thought about your comment and created a new program, called "Mentally Alert," it is free to listen to on our site. Audio quality is also better.

Please don't fall for the "mystical" bullcrap some irresponsible people tote. Binaural beats work by artificially influencing your "brain waves" through your ability to hear. It is an extremely useful (and little-known) tool to help you control your mental state. Nothing more. Just like anything, excessive use is probably hazardous. Use responsibly.

Use with headphones for best effect. Thanks for making it so accessible. Maybe it is placebo as the die hard skeptics claim, but I find this shit utterly amazing. You can get binaural tracks for a couple of bucks your ipod (I recommend Zen Mindwaves). 12 Hz = Alpha, good for relaxing. Use most often. 18 Hz = Beta, good for concentration. 30 Hz = upper "spectrum" Beta, good for concentration and creativity. 1-3HzTheta/Delta are for deep relaxation. 40HzGamma seems to jack the senses.

I learned in my science 2.0 class that this is what they put in scary movies. Some how it makes you more afraid.
