We can solve the “draw (box) problem” with the “separation in space” principle. This Principle allows us to separate conflicting requirements and leads to make one part of the contact surface with antifriction coating and the other part without this coating. So we can propose to rub candle wax on two or three spots of the guide (see picture). This provides good friction between draw guide and cabinet support due to the low friction of the wax. Additionally, thickness of the wax spots provide some gap between guide without wax and support, so friction at these areas will be absent. After some time, due to friction, the wax will be distributed more evenly between guide and support and friction will remain low. With these minor changes, we get good sliding and preserve our draw from big changes
