The per se performance among the parents P2 registered the highest (63.00, 59.80) number of fruits per plant in L1 and L3 environment respectively (Table 2). Among the hybrids, P1 x P2 recorded more number of fruits per plant (76.00, 79.40) in second and third environment. The other promising hybrid P3 x P2 had highest number of fruits (93.60, 81.00) in first and fourth locations respectively. The pooled mean across environments revealed that among the parents P2 recorded highest number (58.73) of fruits, Among the hybrids, P1 × P2 recorded the highest number of 81.80 fruits per plant.
