Differing from other Ixora species in the
pedunculate, pendulous inflorescences group with
an inflorescence supported by a reduced leaf pair
and differs from Ixora pendula Jack by its lanceolate
bracteoles (vs. narrowly triangular bracteoles
in I. pendula) and longer corolla lobes ( 6−7 mm
long vs. 2−4 mm long) with short hairs.
