The goal of this activity
was to help the school children to understand
some of the Common Core State
Standards on fractions, such as being able to
compare two fractions with the same numerator
or the same denominator by reasoning
about their size and recognizing that comparisons
are only valid when the two fractions
refer to the same whole (CCSSI, 2010)
and giving the future teachers an opportunity
to interact with children.
