The second example is to solve the wave diffraction by an el
liptical cylinder. Fig. 9(a) shows the schematic diagram of the el
liptical cross-section. The dimensions of y0 : x0 = 0.8 and h: x0 = 2
were considered in this study. With this given configuration, the
elliptical cross-section can be represented well by a Fourier series
