The incidence of anthracnose disease in the mango fruit was
evaluated as a percentage of the total number of infected fruit. The
severity of disease was assessed by the extent of the total decayed
area on each fruit surface using a 5-point scale, where 0 ¼ no disease
symptoms, 1 ¼ 1e10% of disease spots, 2 ¼ 10e20% of disease
spots, 3 ¼ 20e30% of disease spots, 4 ¼ 30e40% of disease spots,
5 ¼ >40% of disease spots on the affected fruit surface (Chantrasri
et al., 2007). Each treatment contained three replicates, and each
replication had four fruits.
