This paper presented an overall description of DREAMS
experiment for ExoMars 2016 highlighting the system
architecture and the main metrological aspects of the package
sensors.
DREAMS will provide a complete investigation of the
parameters of Martian atmosphere with autonomous operation
during 2 sols lifetime in the Dust Storm season performing
also the first ever investigation of atmospheric electric
phenomena.
The description and metrological parameters of the
environmental sensors have been reported and the DREAMS
instrument development strategy have been introduced.
Flight hardware is currently under manufacturing and after
integration and verification activities will be delivered to ESA
within March 2015, in time to be embarked within the
European space probe and launched to Mars at the beginning
of 2016.
