Currently, this is an opportune moment for research of differentiated learning elements
within the BGSU 1000 course, since Bowling Green State University is currently assessing this
course. Many of the introductory issues have been resolved and further development has taken
place. CUE-BGSU 1000 is still in a sufficiently early stage to allow improvement, especially
considering differentiated learning implementation. The study results will aid administrators and
deans in gauging its success, importance and suggest future improvements.
Within the millennial generation, research indicates a rising percentage of students
presenting cognitive learning challenges, such as Asperger’s Syndrome and traumatic brain
injury (TBI) from returning veterans. Asperger's Syndrome, “affects two to six of every 1,000

percent of disabilities are “silent,” with learning disabilities making up the largest and fastestgrowing
