The fruits of four new winter squash cultivars bred at the
Department of Plant Genetics, Breeding and Biotechnology of the
Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland, characterized by a high
carotenoid content: ‘Amazonka’, ‘Karowita’, ‘Justynka F1’, and
‘Otylia F1’, and the old cultivar ‘Bambino’ as a standard, were used
in this project.
