et al.,2006). TheuseofTDMYallowsamoreaccurate
understanding ofcontemporarygroupsandassociated
environmental effects.Further,characteristicsassociated
with TDMYincludetheuseofadditionalinformationona
single animalduringgeneticevaluations.However,in
developing countrieslikeIndia,thereislimitedlevelof
milk recording,anduseoftestdaymodelswouldresultin
reduced costofrecordingaswecouldhavelongerinter-
vals betweenmilkrecordingandlessfrequentcollection
of milksamples.Further,increasedgeneticgainand
improved profitscanaccruefromusingTDMYondairy
heifer atearlystageoflactation,unproductivecows
would beculledearly,andtherewillbedecreasedgen-
eration interval.Therefore,now-a-days,useoftestday
milk yieldsintervalsisreceivingmoreimportancefor
prediction ofmilkyieldindairycattle.Predictionof
FL305DMY usingtestdaymilkyieldsinanearlystageof
lactation withmaximumaccuracyisoneofthecriteria
