So, why do these people laugh? They laugh because it makes them feel good. Dr. Madan Kataria agrees. He started the first laughter club in Mumbai, lndia in 1995. He believes that laughter is healthy. First, they take several deep breaths. They breathe very slowly. Then they say "Ho-Ho, Ha-Ha" together. They say it faster and faster. Then, they start to laugh. There are many other kinds of laughter exercise,too. In the "silent laughter" exercise, people don' t make any noise. In the "big laughter" exercise, everyone is very loud.
