This is an exothermic process which operates at
process temperatures between 30 and 40 degrees
Celcius (°C) (86 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit (°F).
Depending on the ammonia concentrations in
the side stream being treated and final effluent
limitations, hydraulic retention times may be in
the range of 1 to 2 days (Solley, D. 2000).
