Occupational stress can be defined as the physical hazards and emotional responses that occur when job demands exceeds the capabilities, resources or needs of the employee, (Sauter and Murphy, 1999). In addition to common employee stress present in most workplaces, stress is even more prevalent in this study due to the company's financial problems where a change in organization resulted in high level of stress. The data used for this study was generated by the sampling of employees working in the in-flight industry that provides catering services to the Maltese airline. In this study the null hypothesis to be tested states that there is no relationship between the impact of occupational stress on one's job performance whilst the alternative hypothesis states that a relationship is present. Therefore, this research aims at understanding the causes and effects of occupational stress on organizational performance by exploring the relationship between various sources of occupational stress and work performance.
