Bangkok Airways has activated a code-share agreement with Aeroflot that will see the Russian airline feeding its passengers to the Thai airline's domestic network. Aeroflot became the 15th partner in Bangkok Airways' existing code-share pool, which includes the likes of Etihad, SilkAir, Malaysia Airlines, Air France, KLM, EVA Air and Qantas. The latest partnership provides passengers of Aeroflot with Samui/Bangkok. Effective Sept 29, Aeroflot passengers have been able to book Thai domestic flights operated by Bangkok Airways. Meanwhile, budget airline Nok Air will introduce double daily services between
Bangkok's Don Mueang airport and Lampang on Oct 26. Bangkok-Lampang is the latest in Nok Air's secondary route network, which is being strengthened with additional turboprop aircraft joining its fleet. All flights on the route will be served by the airline's new Bombardier Q400 turboprop aircraft, now numbering two and growing to six in the coming years. Nok Air is offering promotional all-inclusive fares from 999 baht a flight one-way on the Bangkok-Lampang route.
