8.5. The state of the organization
Organizations in some form of transition (be it a merger, acquisition, or wholesale restructuring or
transformation) also face inherent barriers to building organizational integrity. Because they are particularly susceptible to transgressions and misconduct, these organizations must pay close attention to their ethics communications and programs. In an effort to thwart potential danger, they should create a common language around how business is to be conducted and support a collaborative environment to enhance organizational trust.
