As expected, the derivatives of the outdoor temperature, CDD and HDD, both have a positive effect on the electricity infeed. The effect of cooling degree days is more pronounced than the effect of heating degree days. We also observe a small positive effect of day
length. The two other variables, the moving average of historical data and the effect of the high voltage network in Brabant were significant and have a positive effect on electricity consumption. Next, in Table 4, we provide adjusted R2 and DurbineWatson statistics for the Brabant grid (results are similar for the Noord grid).
