I was able to get a refund today, though it was a terrible experience.
The manager of the shop, Mr. Lunsen, was angry about the DOA.
He said he had not received notification of a DOA from Lenovo. It was the weekend, and he could not do anything.
He claimed I had made the mouse dirty. (I disagree, and I took a picture: see attached image)
He demanded to see the boxes. I explained that the sales assistant asked if I wanted to keep them, and I had declined. "Cannot!" He exclaimed.
Fortunately, the owner of the shop, Ms. Biawan arrived and politely processed the refund.
I also lost time and money traveling to Bangkok from Chumphon twice.
I was pleased to finally receive a refund, which I used to purchase a Dell. So far, the Dell has not exhibited any problems, and the sales staff were polite and helpful.
