The mod parade continued in black and white: there were more mini dresses (in stripes, in graphic magic-eye prints, in florals), more sharp white collars, and a dash of menswear via neckties, sweater vests, and jaunty newsboy caps. Then to snap us out of that colorless world came a stream of neon dresses so bright the models wore big black opaque sunglasses. These came in mod silhouettes too--more minis, a slightly flared trench--before giving way to the evening gowns. Nothing mod about these floor-length stunners--but Ralph Lauren does a stunningly simple red carpet gown better than anyone. Jessica Alba, who sat in the front row, would look gorgeous in the strapless cobalt blue number worn by Karlie Kloss, or the strapless red cape number that closed the show.
