This work demonstrated the exploration of the use of geo-referenced user generated content (UGC) to provide location-aware
tourist information. UGC and other found datamay not be “scientific” (in a narrowsense), but there is awealth of these data available.
A conceptual foundation is laid down for the analysis of spatio-temporal data of places obtained from community contributed geotagged
photos' collection. It can also be utilized by local authorities, service providers, and tourist agencies for building user centric
applications and to provide location based services.
