than the guidelines recommend. Type A packaging could also be
opened by more than three-quarters of the patients, although
subjectively it was rated worse than the Type B pack. One explanation
for this high percentage may be that the patients tried to
open the package for much longer under test conditions, when
most of them would already have resorted to a knife or scissors at
home. On the basis of these results, however, we can say that the
adaptations in peelable meat packaging have been implemented
successfully.
