Interpret Marketing consumer needs into a product prototype taking into consideration regulatory, nutrition, product technology, and capabilities.
Generate new products ideas, monitor new products and competitive trends and activities from ideation sessions and concept screening and prepare R&D brief and/or preliminary new product specification and feasibility/capabilities assessment.
Proactively plan and perform experiments and develop technical proposals, plans and reports aiming at innovation, cost reductions or quality improvement.
Assess the technical feasibility of the new products (processing, food safety, regulatory and packaging).
Coordinate plant trial, preparation of sales samples and production startup.
Works with operations to develop new processes / procedures and ensure that product development efforts are compatible and beneficial to the manufacturing capabilities, also to ensure low cost production and short production times while maintaining quality standards
