Consequently, this study will mainly survey the amounts of heavy metals in three types of vegetables i.e. organic, hydroponic and safety vegetables. To conduction this, five popular vegetables i.e. cabbage, chinese cabbage, chinese kale, pakchoi chinese cabbage and water convolvelus in each types of vegetables are collected from supermarkets in Bangkok and quantify the amounts of Cd, Pb, Cr, Ni, Cu, Zn and Mn. The results will be compared and quantify the potential health risk from consumption of each type of vegetables. This will provide not only basic information of heavy metal in vegetables, but also the provisional tolerable daily intake (PTDI) of heavy metals from vegetable consumption of Thai population.
