“Timeliness” is perhaps the most concrete and easily measured of the LIS
characteristics and, therefore, more readily evaluated as acceptable or
unacceptable. Other LIS characteristics such as “formatted to facilitate usage”
and “flexibility” are more abstract, and are thereby less likely to be critically
evaluated. In other words, high performers are more critical of themselves when
applying more concrete measures.
