The relative expression of the LPL (P b 0.05), SREBP
(P b 0.05), and ABCA1 (P b 0.01) genes were 5.38, 5.29, and 5.76-fold
higher in the VE10d group than in the C group (P b 0.05), respectively.
In the APOE gene the relative expression was 5.76 and 5.33-fold higher
in the VE10d (P b 0.01) and VE20d (P b 0.05) than the C group, respectively.
In general terms, it can be observed that genes were upregulated
in the VE10d treatment when compared to the C treatment, decreasing
mRNA levels of these genes with longer vitamin E supplementation
treatments (VE20d and VE30d). Supplementary Tables S1 and S2
show the contrasts estimates among the treatments in each gene for
LT muscle and SF, respectively.
