Development Cooperation Intervention
One of the most important reasons for making a progress report is to give time for thought and reflection. It is an opportunity for summarising important experiences and lessons learnt. The main points listed below are to be taken into consideration when writing the progress report. The progress report should be brief and give clear and concise comments.

1. Children´s voices
Children are the main target group of the project and their perception of the benefits from the intervention isan important part of the results assessment.
- Quotes from several children expressing their view and understanding of the project.
- Give one or several stories/examples of how individual or groups of children have benefitted from the project.
2. Fulfilment of project objectives and results of activities
- Quote the objectives according to project description/log frame.
- Use specified indicators for measuring the progress of each objective.
- Formulate a brief analysis regarding the progress on each objective.
- Describe the results of activities connected to each objective.
3. Time schedule
- Indicate whether or not the project is implemented in accordance with the agreed time schedule.
- Comment on any deviations from the original plan.
4. Monitoring and Follow-up
- What monitoring and follow-up activities have been carried out during the period?
- Analyse whether the result indicators have been useful during the monitoring process.
- What specific challenges do you see in your M&E systems? Is there a need to develop different methods than you use today?
5. Participation of target groups
- Describe the participation of the target groups in implementation and follow-up.
- Give examples on participatory methods used.
- In what way do children participate?
6. Actors
- Report on progress of the cooperation with actors related to target groups and the context:
o Authorities and government institutions
o NGO´s/civil society actors
o Others
7. Other Matters
- Comment on other important events or questions in relation to the project or the organization.
8. Follow-up of recommendations received
- Describe how the organization has answered/handled earlier recommendations from ERIKS.
Headings 9 – 11below are to be included in the Annual Report.
9. Financial Matters
- Have there been any deviations of 10% or more in any of the main budget headings? If so, explain how it affected the project results.
- Describe possible financial challenges faced during the reporting period and how it affected the implementation of the project.
- Comment on systems and routines used for internal control and financial management.
10. Learning and Experiences
- Describe both positive and negative experiences.
- Comment on learning acquired during the reporting period.
- Comment on possible unintended outcome/results.
11. Analysis of project context
- Reflect on the changes in the society that have occurred during the reporting period
o How has the project been affected by these changes?
o To what extent has the project contributed to these changes?
- Have any of the foreseen risk scenarios happened? (Refer to risks specified in project description) If so, how were these managed?
12. Signatures
Authorized representatives from the implementing organization are to sign the report.
