Conclusions
1) The superheat calculated by the tundish temperature
and the liquid line is introduced into the
water distribution for secondary cooling. Based on
the distribution model, superheat and fuzzy self-adaptive
PID, the relevant control system is proposed. And a
spray cooling system is set up for simulation study in
laboratory.
2) The step signal test and the simulation casting
test have been done by the conventional, integral
separated and fuzzy self-adaptive PID controllers.
The presented control system has been tested in
some steel plant. The test results show that the
fuzzy self-adaptive PID controller's performance is
better than that of the other two controllers, which
provides a basis for further study and application.
