Description: On February 18th, 2015 a 20' container shipment of material from Avebe arrived at hte BKD warehouse. The container was berthed at loading dock #5 without any issues. The container material consisted of 15 kg bags on pallets covered by plastic slip sheets, held in place by ropes tied down at the corners: again, no visible issues or problems were noted upon opening the container. As the material was starting to be unloaded by the contracted labor personnel, and as they started to cut some of the rope-ties, a top pallet with bags shifted position and some bags fell down, striking the contractor on the body and left knee. The worker reported the incident immediately and also stated that they felt some pain in their knee: the worker was immediately sent to the local hospital for medical attention where they were examined by a physician. The doctor found no abnormalities and issued the worker with some balm and minor pain medication. On the 18th of February the worker returned to the site and was also examined by the Occupational Health doctor who advised light duty work until a full recovery was achieved.
