As the EIA Procedure does not define the study area for ESIA study, the ESIA study area for this Project is roughly defined to be the area within a 5-km radius of the center of the Project site. This study area would be large enough to cover most potential environmental and social impact issues of the Project construction and operation. However, the air pollution study will extend beyond the 5 km radius to about 15-20 km depending on wind conditions. Likewise, the study area for the proposed gas supply pipeline will extend beyond the 5 km radius from the Project site to the connection point with the existing Yadana main gas supply line but will be confined to about 200 meters from both sides of the proposed alignment of the gas supply pipeline.
