The transesterification efficiency increased sharply to 86.1 ± 3.7% with a reaction time of 5 min, and then rose more gradually to over 95% (97.2 ± 12%) as the reaction time was extended to more than 15 min, which was thus considered the suitable reaction time for transesterification.
