In Table II, we present the values of the different safety parameters
obtained for a population size of 30, 90, and 900, respectively.
These parameters concern the grounding grid resistance,
the grounding potential rise, the touch voltage for a 70-kg
human, the actual touch voltage, the tolerable step for a 70-kg
human, and, finally, the actual step-and-touch voltages. For a
given population size, the grounding resistance is less than 1 .
On the other hand, the actual step voltage is lower than the tolerable
one. Similarly, the actual touch voltage is lower than the
tolerable one. These ascertainments are valuable regardless of
the adopted optimization technique. This implies that for all optimization
techniques, the safety criteria are satisfied.
