This story is about a man named Larry retelling a story about his childhood after receiving a letter from his sister
Larry grew up in a town named Hemingford Home on farmland
There was a ladder incident when he was ten years old and his sister, Katrina was eight
They climbed up a rickety old ladder, a total of 70 feet, crawled along a beam, and dropped down into a pile of hay
After around a dozen jumps Larry was scared because the ladder had been moving underneath him
He made his last jump and told Katrina to stop jumping
Katrina jumped anyways making the excuse that she was lighter than him
While she was at the last rung of the ladder, the ladder split in half and Katrina was about to fall
