Finally, teachers should be expected to teach for understanding, rather than merely covering every lesson in the textbook. Teachers should also make learning interesting. And, finally, teachers should teach children how to learn and to contribute to their school society. Often, what is most important is complicated to quantify, but that shouldn't stop us from having the highest expectations for our schools. If we are to move beyond teaching essentials that come into view on a standardized test, teachers will need to be stimulated. They need a motivating and rich curriculum, a deep knowledge base, and maintain from the principal and school district to individualize training. We should see our teachers as a precious human resource to be cultured; only then can we expect to see the best that they can offer, and only then can we hold them responsible. A good teacher should have all the above-mentioned qualities. The teacher is the key factor in the learning process. She is looked upon as a social and ethical model which carries with it a positive degree of reputation and morality that must be look after. She is not just practicing a career, but she is out there for a duty, that is, to contour the entire character of the youth who will be the citizens of tomorrow.
