Directions should be clear and concise. When several steps are involved, using both written and verbal presentation of the directions is usually best. This may be done with handouts, a chalkboard, a flip chart, an overhead projector, a PowerPoint presentation, or any other easily visible way. Also, directions should be presented in the order in which they are to be completed. Throughout the learning activity, the instructor should assess the learners attentiveness, and directions should be restated as necessary.
