Fig. 5 Effect of inoculation with T. asperellum Q1 strain onthe level of IAA (A), GA (B) and ABA (C) in cucumber seedling leaves after 25 d under salt stress or not. Treatments: control,
uninoculated without salt; Q1, inoculation with T. asperellum Q1 strain and no salt; Q1+salt, inoculation with T. asperellum Q1 and NaCl; salt, uninoculated with NaCl. The same as below.
conditions of salt stress, the root length and fresh weight of cucumber seedlings decreased by 42.7 and 48.4%, respectively, in comparison to the unstressed control plants.
The root length and fresh weight were increased by 42.1 and 23%, 56.3 and 45.2% respectively after treated with T. asperellum Q1, comparing with those of the non-inoculated
groups treated with and without NaCl (Fig. 6-B, C). Furthermore, a maximal root activity was observed when cucumber seedlings inoculated with T. asperellum Q1 and without NaCl (Fig. 6-D).
