The purpose of this simulation is to demonstrate the characteristics and operation of
an RF amplifier using DC and AC analysis in the course of our study. Radio
frequency amplifiers perform the function that their name implies. They select and
amplify a narrow band of radio frequency signals. Their various properties are
utilized in many areas of RF communications. Power amplifiers, voltage amplifiers,
buffer amplifiers and frequency multipliers are all RF amplifiers employed in the
electronics industry. Figure 16-1 is an example of a radio frequency amplifier used to
amplify a signal in the range of 1.5 MHz
