Fig. 1 shows the average Q angles for each position for asymptomatic subjects. Statistical analysis (paired t-tests) revealed significant differences between both bilateral positions and unilateral stance positions (p < 0.005) for asymptomatic subjects. Linear regression showed predictive equations and positive correlations for unilateral and bilateral Q angles. The equation therefore then allowed for the prediction of unilateral Q angle from the bilateral Q angle measurements.
