Available evidence demonstrate that EWMs contain both chemicals
present in EEEs' components (chemical elements, brominated flame
retardants, or BFRs, and non dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls, or
NDL PCBs) and chemicals released during e-waste combustion
(polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, or PAHs, polychlorinated
dibenzo-p-dioxins and furans, or PCDD/Fs, and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls, or DL PCBs).
