Use
We use the Present Continuous to talk about events happening around the present time.
Examples They’re preparing an important proposal.
Are you travelling much for work these days?
He's staying with his brother this week.
The following verbs are not usually used with the Present Continuous:
be, like, love, need, want, understand, prefer, know, own.
If have means ‘own’, we use the Present Simple, e.g. She has a motorbike.
In other situations, have can be used with the Present Simple or Present Continuous,
e.g. I usually have toast for breakfast, but today I'm having eggs.
