The diagram 8a and 8c show that the conductor with a rectangular
cross-section generates a more uniform value of the
component tangent to the axis “x” of the magnetic field, than
the circular conductor. It is that component of the magnetic
field which is responsible for the Faraday effect in the sensory
material situated along the axis “x”. Conclusions drawn
from this analysis resulted in the elaboration of a somewhat
modified head of the sensor together with a special holder for
the busway. The modified sensor is shown in Fig. 9.
