While there he also carried outresearch which he used for his master's thesis.[2] Once Lashley completed his master’s degree, he studied at Johns Hopkins University, where he received his Ph.D. degree ingenetics in June 1911. After obtaining his Ph.D. he became a professor at University of Minnesota, University of Chicago, and Harvard University.
