Dear Nigel,
Regarding the report attached on Cars, we would like to clarify the following as shown in italics:
1. On page 5, it was mentioned that: Recommendation 2: I.T will amend the system putting other cars on ‘hold’ in order to give the existing black cars priority. (Regional GOLD is to follow up)
- GOLD does not put any car on “hold” in the system for these black cars as mentioned above. The “hold” function in the IAP system is only used to block salesmen from booking showroom display cars that are not meant for sales. Previously cars with defects were blocked from booking, however, from March 2015 onwards, all cars with or without defects are open for booking to prevent hold-up of such cars.
2. On page 12, it was mentioned that: The VDC has no access to the dealer’s booking system prepared by GOLD. Without access, the VDC is unable to prioritize urgent cars to be pushed out to dealers.
- Access was given to VDC since end March 2015 and VDC is to download the Update PDI Ready Report daily on their own.
3. On page 12 also, it was mentioned: GOLD will work with IT to do up a combined-list (excel format) of cars ordered by dealers, for VDC to monitor and prioritize delivery.
- Update PDI Ready Report in IAP was updated to include both Branch and Dealer Sales since mid-April 2015 and ok to be downloaded by VDC. Priority for delivery must be based on Customer’s Expected Delivery Date as reflected in the system report.
